Orders on Demand...

I set up my Arbonne account to send me the items I use the most every 45 days.  So this week as I was sprinting out the door, I realized that I was grabbing the last ready to go shake.  OY.  I knew I'd already recycled the box for the protien bars so I was a-worryin!  Then my son said, MOM YOU'VE GOT A BOX!  Yahoo!  It was a little Arbonne present... my to go shakes, my protien bars and my fizz-sticks in 2 flavors.  I'd been cutting back on those and supplementing with soda (BAD, BAD, BAD ME!) so today, realizing that I had 2 new boxes PLUS some leftover, I splurged and had 2!  It really hit the spot on a busy swim meet/super hot day!  So, if you are thinking that you might run out, thus setting yourself up for failure, I highly recommend talking to your Arbonne Fairy (or mine... contact me and I'll put you in touch!) about how to set it up so it arrives JUST WHEN YOU NEED IT!

BTW, I did step on the scale this week and I am up just a bit... surely it is due to the copious amounts of chocolate and junk food I've been stress eating.  So today, smart choices.  And researching how to make the most of summer produce.  Can you say... grilled cauliflower is AWESOME?  I can!

This I know...

This is what I know... when I eat junky, I feel junky.  Having eaten so healthy, my body now demands healthy.  Balance is key.  I have been off balance due to stress.  However, if I would stay balanced, I would feel better battling the stress.  So, good breakfast, crappy lunch.  Since yesterday it was lousy breakfast and lunch, this is a good step.

Weddings can undo hard work so quickly!

So I am not down this week.  But as the title suggests I went to a wedding this weekend and they had a most amazing reception!  In addition to the fabulous cake , (and I had a piece from each tier - I shared a bite with everyone at the table and then finished it), they had 3, count em, three other desserts.  Which I had.one.of.each.  And I had the salad.  And the tomatoes covered in feta and a lovely vinaigrette.  And some bread.  And a beer.  Then another.  And chicken picatta.  And mashed potatoes.  And green beans in brown butter with some kinda nuts.  And finished is all off with a slice of beef from the carving station covered in horseradish sauce.  Yes, I had ONE OF EVERYTHING.  One glass of champagne to finish the evening.  Though I feel compelled to add that my hubby drank half my second beer. 

SO, I got back on the healthy horse this week and I will be riding it to next week's weigh-in.  Especially now that we've survived another (minor) crisis in the home and I'm not stress eating.

I DO WANT TO SAY ONE MORE THING ABOUT THE CHEWS - THEY DON'T MELT.   I left them in my car so when I am getting the cravings to eat out, I grab one of those instead.  It had been hot.  It didn't stick to the wrapper or my fingers.  It was lovely as I was fearing the worst.

Pumped up and Excited... This Too Can Work For YOU!

I am actually down 2 pounds for the month of May.  Additionally, I lost another half inch from my waist and my hips stayed the same.  Which could mean I am a bad measurer.  SERIOUSLY!  I AM DOWN!   Thus proving that....

This program works even if you don't follow it to the letter of the law.  I am THRILLED that I am down 2 pounds... I was hoping to maintain.  And I love that over 5 weeks I lost about a 1/2 pound a week.  That means I could be down 15 more pounds by the end of the year!  Which is just the beginning for me, but it means by the end of 2013 I could be at almost at my goal weight.  That does seem like a LONG time from now.  However, I put this weight on over 20 years.  To lose it over 2 would be AWESOME!

This program is easy to follow!  Most days, but not every day, I substitute 1 meal a day with either a shake or protein bar (when I got those) or a premixed shake.  I do think that the premixed shake doesn't sit as long with me as the other probably because it doesn't have the extra fiber from the Fiber Boost or the extra substance from the fruit.  But I think that the protein bars sticks good.  Then I have really altered the portion sizes (most days) and I am still exercising, but haven't been able to as much. 

Here we go!  Another 30 days starts NOW!
